One of the most important designs of Willen Hendrik Gispen in his carier. The 412 was designed in 1934 for his own company Gispen. That was the same year as the moved out of rotterdam to there new factory location in Culemborg.
The chair that we offer is quite special. Its a original frame made by the gispen company in the 50s and far more stronger then a remake. It also special because the quilted back and the lose seating cushion. This model was only made in the period 1949 till 1958.
This chair is byfare one of my favorite items in our collection.
The chair has been reupholsterd with an wool Kvadrat Tonica in dark Blue.
